World Vision Development Foundation, Inc. explores partnership opportunities with DOST Batangas

The World Vision Development Foundation, Inc. (WVDFI), represented by its Program Manager in Batangas, Mr. Don Chua, together with the farmer associations and cooperatives they assist, visited the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Office in Batangas to explore potential collaboration opportunities aimed at benefiting their beneficiaries in Rosario, Batangas, February 19.

The visit provided a platform for both organizations to present and discuss their respective programs and services, with a focus on how they can work together to improve the livelihoods of local farmers and cooperatives in Rosario.

Ms. Renalee M. Leyesa, Science Research Specialist II at DOST-Batangas, led the presentation of the agency’s various programs and services. She emphasized how DOST-Batangas’ programs could assist in improving agricultural productivity, addressing local challenges, and empowering communities through science and technology.

Ms. Felina C. Malabanan, DOST-Batangas’ Provincial S&T Director, discussed how the agency could collaborate with the World Vision Development Foundation. She outlined ways in which DOST-Batangas’ programs could directly benefit the farmer and cooperative beneficiaries, from enhancing farming practices through technology adoption to boosting income potential.

Both organizations expressed interest about the possibility of a partnership that would offer local farmers and cooperatives the necessary tools, training, and support to succeed. By combining resources and expertise, DOST-Batangas and World Vision Development Foundation are poised to make the agricultural sector, ultimately improving the quality of life for farmers and their families in Rosario, Batangas.

Both organizations are eager to finalize the details of their collaboration and move forward with initiatives that will benefit the local community.
