INILUSAD ng AQ Prime streaming platform bilang kanilang bagong mukha ang American boxing champion na si Floyd “Money” Mayweather kamakailan na isinagawa sa Cove Manila ng Okada Manila Resort. Sinalubong si Mayweather nina AQ Prime’s CEO and President, Atty. Aldwin Alegre, COO Honey Quiño, at ng Creative Business Partner na si RS Francisco.
Sa media conference y natanong ang boxing champ kung magiging aktor at singer din siya tulad ng karibal niyang si Manny Pacquiao.
“Well, I get offers all the time to be in movies, and I spoke about it in numerous occasions, everything isn’t for everybody.
“Can I get movies? Absolutely, but it takes up so much time. Sometimes three months, sometimes four months.
“And I like to travel, I like to work on my own schedule, that’s why I’m my own boss. That’s why I chose to back myself up, my own contract, so I can become my own boss and move the way I wanna move.
“I’m not against it, you know, I love to watch movies, I love to support movies. But as for me, acting, it would take up too much of my time,” anang sikat na boksingero.
May offers din siya na pasukin ang recording pero tinanggihan din niya ito.
“I love listening to music, I don’t mind going to the recording studio sometimes just to joke around and have fun, but everything isn’t for everyone,” paliwanag ng boksingero.
Tinanggap ni Mayweather ang offer ng AQ Prime na maging ambassador dahil gusto niyang maabot ang mga tao sa pamamagitan ng nasabing streaming platform.
“It’s all about connecting the gaps and do a business worldwide, and just with my reach, you know being able to reach people from all walks of life. We were able to communicate – my team as well as their team – and we talked about this over the phone, you know, and then eventually, we made it happen. So, it’s a match made in heaven,”sambit pa ng boxing champ.
Kasama naman sa inihahanda na ipalalabas sa AQ Prime ay ang documentary series ng buhay ni Floyd.
Anito, “Hopefully, we’re able to put my documentary on their platform. Everything that is behind the scenes since 1996, 26 years ago. Everything that’s behind the scenes with family, with friends, my ups and my downs, things that you guys don’t get the chance to see on cable or pay per view.
“On this documentary, this gonna bring you closer to my life. You may got the chance to really really know Floyd Mayweather.”
Pero may mga bahagi rin ng kanyang buhay na hindi niya ipapanood tulad ng lovelife. “Everything is now or everybody. I’d like to keep certain things private.
“On my documentary, you may see few little things, but most of my personal lie I’d like to keep it, you know, behind the scenes,” paglilinaw pa nito.
Sobrang namang late dumating si Floyd sa isinagawang media conference pero agad naman iyong humingi ng paumanhin dahil aniya’y may family issues siyang kailangang ayusin. Nakatakda kasi ng 2:00 p.m. ang press conference pero dumating iyon ng almost 7:00 p.m.
“I want to apologize to the media and to all the people because I was extremely late today. I was taking care of some personal things back in the U.S., some family issues, you know, we all love our family. My family members, and me, myself, I love my family, like no other.
“I have to take care of some things back at home and they needed my advice and I needed to help them. It was a 9-1-1.
“So, once again, I needed to apologize to everyone in here,” pahayag ng boxing champ.
