Ilang taon pa at sa Amerika na ito nagpatuloy sa paghahanap ng kanyang kapalaran. Many years ago, nabisita ko pa siya at ang singer na si Jo Awayan sa The Library Ichiban sa San Francisco, California sa Amerika.
Nagpatuloy sa una niyang pangarap si Lailani bilang isang Registered Nurse. At hanggang ngayon ay nagsisilbi siya sa Dignity Health California Hospital Medical Center at Silverlake Medical Center sa Los Angeles.
Nagbahagi ng balita tungkol sa sarili si Lailani. “I’ve been taking care of Covid positive patients since this pandemic happened.
“Working in a trauma hospital it is just but expected that we get high volume of Covid patients.. whether PUI or positive..
“Unfortunately, a lot of nurses our getting sick too and others our asked to stay over to cover shifts. To cut the story short.. i too got infected with the virus.
“It was heartbreaking when i received the call this morning that I tested positive for Covid..
“All of my worries run through my mind.. the sadness.. the being alone.. the what ifs..
“So, I made a conscious decision to let this out in public to let everyone know to please take this seriously!!!
“A lot of people our dying and frontliners are putting themselves out there even if they know how risky it can be just to protect everyone!!! Please stay home!.. We still don’t have the immunity to this.. Anyone can be infected!”
Isama natin sa mga dasal ang pagbuti ng kalagayan ni Lailani, kasama na ang marami pang frontliners sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo.
