Delayed nang apat na oras ang concert ni Sharon Cuneta sa Alex Theater, Glendale, California, last Saturday, March 30. May valid reason naman kung bakit delayed ang bagong concert ni Sharon na magsisimula supposedly ng 7:30 pm pero 11:00 pm na nang mag-start.
Dahil kasi sa engine problems ng eroplano na kanyang sinakyan from Toronto, Canada, kaya na-delay ang kanyang biyahe papuntang Amerika.
US-based Philippine Star contributor Raymond Lo was one of those who came to watch the concert of Sharon.
As per his reportage, in spite of the long hours of waiting, mainit pa rin ang pag-welcome ng mga tao kay Ate Shawie.
“Only Sharon Cuneta can make her fans wait a couple of hours (though no fault of her own) and still be warmly and lovingly received by her diehard Sharonians!
“Sharon ended her 2019 North American concert tour at the Alex Theater in Glendale, CA at past 1:00 am this morning after her AirCanada flight was delayed in Toronto due to engine problems.
“She took to the stage at about 11:00 pm, still clad in her flight wardrobe, barely made-up and profusely and sincerely apologized to her fans who patiently waited for her (some coming to the venue as early as 5:00 pm.)
“The show did not disappoint. Sharon sang nearly all of her signature hits (now considered OPM classics) and delighted the audience with anecdotes about her childhood, career and her colorful lovelife.
“Truly, Sharon is the Philippines’ last true megastar!” enthused Raymond.
Sharon wasn’t able to change her yoga pants and she wore it all throughout the show.
And with that, ito po ang Kuya Pete ninyo na nagsasabing, Christopher, my son, I love you very, very much, my love for you goes beyond eternity.
