MAY early Christmas treat na agad ang balladeer na si L.A. Santos sa kanyang mga tagahanga sa December 6, (Huwebes) sa The Theater at Solaire.
Si L.A. ang makakasama ng dalawang divas sa Christmas with Soul Divas na pagsasamahan nina Jaya at Patti Austin.
Hindi na bago kay L.A. na maging bahagi ng concert ni Ms. Austin dahil nang nagsisimula pa lamang siya eh, naging front act na siya nito sa mga unang performances sa bansa.
“It is always an honor, Tita. Kasi, alam naman natin ang magnitude ng pagiging diva ni Ms. Austin all over the world. At ang mga kanta niya eh, napamahal na sa puso nating mga Pinoy. Marami roon ang naging theme songs of our lives. Sabi nga, mga ‘hugot’ songs na magtu-throwback sa ‘yo when you hear them at maituturing ng classics.
‘Si Ms. Jaya naman, kilala na natin sa mga soulful song niya at hindi rin matatawaran when it comes to her original songs and even cover versions. To be with these two greats is another blessing in my career an added feather to my cap as a performer. Laging maipagmamalaki to be sharing on stage with them. Nakasama ko na rin si Ms. Jaya im some shows/events and it is always a breeze to be in her company. Marami rin kasi akong natututuhan.
“Like you’ve said, this is my early Christmas treat. For my family. Especially to my Mom (Flor), sa lahat ng nagmamahal sa akin. It’s a date so I hope to spend this magical evening with them kasama ang dalawang astig when it comes to songs that strikes so many cords in our hearts.”
