Narito ang buong statement ng TOFARM hinggil dito, “This is to officially announce that due to scheduling problems, the biopic ‘Isang Kuwento Ng Gubat’ (The Leonard Co Story) written by Rosalie Matilac had to formally withdraw as finalist of this year’s TOFARM Film Festival.
‘Its slot is now officially replaced by ‘KAUYAGAN,’ a Manobo tribal drama, written and to be directed by Julienne Ilagan (Ilagan Julienne). It is the story of a hesitant datu-presumptive and how he learns to rise up to become leader of his people.
“Julienne Ilagan was Best Short Film winner in the last Cinemagis Digital Short Film Festival, for ‘Balot. Penoy. Asin.”
”Her other short film, ‘Saop,’ was also viewed by TOFARM Festival Director Bibeth Orteza and managing director Joey Romero, who both found her work “impressive” and “very promising, with a clear potential.”
The TOFARM Film Festival is headed by Executive Producer Dr. Milagros O. How; President of Universal Harvester, Inc. together with Festival Director Bibeth Orteza, Managing Director Joey Romero, TOFARM Committee Member Sonny Guingab, and TFF Supervising Producer Agnes Valencia.
