PAHINGA muna sa politika si Jomari Yllana.

Tatlong termino siya bilang konsehal ng first district ng Parañaque City (mula 2016 hanggang 2025).

Magtatapos na ang term ni Jomari sa June 2025 at magpapahinga muna sa politika.

Bakit hindi siya tumakbo sa mas mataas na posisyon?

“Mga kaibigan ko silang lahat.

“So, ibig sabihin nga, maghahanap ako ng kaaway forever.

“Ang sarap ng buhay ko. Ang sarap lumabas, walang kalaban.

“I mean, vice-mayor, congressman, mayor, these are all my friends. And these are family friends.

“I mean, for ambition, okay, fine. For ambition, I’ll run, let’s say, win or lose.”

Kaya ayaw ni Jomari na tumakbo sa mas mataas na posisyon dahil may mga nasisirang relasyon dahil sa politika.

“Burning bridges with family.

“And then, I have a brother also, seated councilor in the other district.

“I have family and friends. My kuya’s always been a politician.

“And then, Kuya Paul is running also.

“Ayaw kong guluhin ‘yung landscape ng politika.

“You know, politika, it separates people within the household.”

Nagkaroon noon ng isyu sa kanila ng kuya niyang si Anjo noong 2022 elections pero nagkaayossila New Year 2024.

Mga kapatid din nina Jomari at Anjo sina Paulie at Ryan Yllana. ↓

Sa ngayon ay tutok si Jomari sa kanyang racing event ng Okada Manila at Yllana Racing.

Nagsimula ito nitong Linggo, May 4, 2025 na kasama ni Jomari si Rikki Dy-Liacco ng Automobile Association of the Philippines at Byron Yip, Okada Manila President and COO.

May mga natutunan si Jomari sa politika.

“Power, influence, and position is temporary.

“So, after all, bibitawan mo na ‘yung influence, ‘yung position.

“Ang tanong sa sarili ko, ‘Did you grow?’

“And I can honestly say that, proud to say that, ang laki ng growth ko as a person, as a public servant, as a family member, as a kabarangay, as a neighbor, ‘yung ganyan.

“I learned a lot from it.

“And made me closer to my community in ways I never knew possible,” lahad pa niya.
