SENIOR na si Albert Martinez pero marami ang nagsasabing mas bata ang hitsura niya sa kanyang edad. Alagang-alaga kasi nito ang kalusugan at katawan. Kaya naman talagang napakalakas pa ng dating nito at yummy pa rin talaga.
Kaya naman sa virtual media conference ng The Housemaid na pinagbibidahan ni Kylie Versoza, nasabing mala-bampira ang aura niya dahil hindi raw tumatanda. Kaya naman natanong ito kung ano ang sikreto sa pagiging fit at healty sa edad 60.
“Thank you. That’s a compliment. I’m officially a senior citizen. I’m 60 years old with real white hair,” nakangiting tsika ni Albert.
“Through the years kasi, even when I was young, talagang I’m into working out, eating properly, not abusing myself.
“And I know for a fact, ito ‘yung investment namin, kami sa industry— to make sure we stay fit, looking good. I guess that’s about it. Siguro kaunti about the genes, but then again, it’s all about discipline,” sambit pa ng actor.
Isang mayamang amo na pumatol sa kanyang kasambahay na si Daisy (Kylie) ang role ni Albert sa Philippine adaptation ng The Housemaid.
Kuwento ni Albert ukol sa kanyang role, “The requirement of the physique is compared to the original Korean actor, you really had to look fit because I’m playing a younger character.
“I’m playing a 50-year-old and I’m 60 years old so it’s totally different so that was very demanding. Good thing I was given enough time to prepare so that’s workout and diet at the same time,” ani Albert.
Ayon pa kay Albert, hindi siya nagdalawang-isip na tanggapin ang pelikula. Katwiran niya, ”It’s a film that every actor should accept. It’s a film na hindi mo puwedeng palampasin.
“It’s really a beautiful material, well-written, and to think that the film was an entry to ‘2010 Cannes Film Festival.’ It’s very challenging for all of us, for me as an actor, for the director, for the entire cast.
”And Direk Roman (Perez) mentioned, it’s an ensemble type of material. We did so well. I’m so happy for the team. And kung pinalampas ko ito, ito ‘yung malaking pagsisisihan ko for the rest of my life,” mahabang paliwanag pa ni Albert.
Ang The Housemaid ay mapapanood sa Vivamax sa Sept. 10 at kasama rin dito sina Jaclyn Jose, Lousie delos Reyes, at Alma Moreno.
