Anak ni Nikki, may ipinaglalaban

NAKILALA ko na ang “baby girl” ni Nikki Valdez na si Olivia noong paslit pa lang ito.

Impressed ako kay bagets, kaya sabi ko nga kay Nikki, napaka-smart nito. Dahil nakikipag-usap sa mas nakatatanda sa kanya. Buti na lang din, marami akong baon nang nakipagpalitan sa paslit na si Olivia na very charming din.

Siya ang itinuturing na napakalaking blessing sa buhay ni Nikki at ng kanyang partner. At halos araw-araw, may ibinabahagi si Nikki sa mga aktibidades nila ng bagets. Mula sa TikTok, hanggang sa pagtugtog nito ng sinimulang composition sa gitara at ngayon ay ang training na ginagawa niya in the time of Covid.

Na gustong ibahagi ni Nikki sa mga ina at mga anak at sa buong pamilya.

“DISCIPLINE. Train your children the importance of time, rest and eating the right kind food. That if they have self-discipline, they will start right with anything they put their mind into and will be guided correctly.

“HARDWORK. Olivia sets up her own training mats and puts them away herself and cleans the space where she trains. 

“As for cheerleading, we always encourage her to not settle for 𝙥𝙬𝙚𝙙𝙚 𝙣𝙖. Limited space does not mean her efforts should be limited too. Our kids should know the importance of achieving something because they worked their way up. 

“COMMITMENT. When you are committed to something; whether it be a relationship, a hobby or a task, it entails the first two values I just mentioned above. Therefore, it should mean you are willing to give more than your 100%. Let us teach our kids this value so they will know the importance of fulfilling something only if you are fully committed to it. 

“We keep reminding Olivia that enrolling her for summer training goes beyond the physical aspect of it. This will not happen overnight though so consistency is key. It is better to train our kids this early how to be independent and strong willed in the future so when challenges arise, they will know how to face it. ”

Kaya ba?

Ipinakita rin ni Nikki ang larawan ni Olivia na nakalagay ang kanang kamay sa dibdib.

“This is our Olivia. 11 years old. Hindi siya tumigil kakakulit sa amin na kunan siya ng picture para makiisa sa aming laban. 

“In her young mind and purest heart, sabi niya, ‘Mama and Dada please take my picture for Laban Kapamilya. I want to represent the children of all parents like you who work so hard in ABS-CBN to provide for our food, shelter and education so we can have a good future. I love ABS-CBN Mama because they help us so much.’

“Thank you anak for this. May mga araw talaga na nararamdaman mo ang worry, fear and sadness namin pero iba rin ang fighting spirit mo. Pray pa anak. God listens and when we feel helpless. He will be the one to fight our battles.
