HIHINTAYIN ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang resulta ng imbestigasyon ng Kongreso sa mga anomalya sa Bureau of Immigration (BI) bago siya magpasya sa magiging kapalaran ni Commissioner Jaime Morente.
“I think there is going to be an investigation by congress. I defer to congress first before I make a decision. Para walang masabi kung… nandiyan siya. He tells the story from where he stands,” ani Pangulong Duterte sa ambush interview sa Palasyo kagabi.
Hindi muna gagalawin sa puwesto si Morente, anang Pangulo, hanggang hindi pa tapos ang pagsisiyasat ng Kongreso at maging ng Department of Justice (DOJ).
“Wala akong gagawin. Not yet. Not after the investigation. But I think the Secretary of Justice is also doing his homework. At kung sino lang ang mauna but if there will be somebody who will tell me that these are the things which should have not happened or have happened,” aniya.
Hihilingin ng Pangulo sa Civil Service Commission (CSC) na magbigay ng pangalan ng mga puwedeng ipalit sa mga sinibak sa Immigration na sangkot sa ‘pastillas scheme.’
“I am insisting on the ouster of all involved. I think we have terminated… but there will be more. I think mayroon yatang napaalis na. But this should be replaced. All of them. And I am asking the commissioner of the Civil Service to give me a list of first grade no’ng mga nakapasa. Good records scholastically. Puwedeng ibigay ‘yung pangalan. I will replace almost all of them,” dagdag niya.
Hindi rin muna aaksiyon ang Pangulo sa kapalaran ng Chinese POGO workers habang wala pang resulta ang imbestigasyon ng Senado gayondin ng China.
“I will wait for this thing to settle down. I will not investigate while there is flurry of you know actions being taken here and there. And also with the investigation in China. It will be prudent for me I think to just wait,” anang Pangulo.
