1,000 sundalo ng AFP tumulak sa ME para sa paglikas ng Pinoys

TINIYAK ni Pangulong Rodrigo ang kanyang buong suporta sa mga tropang Pinoy na nagtungo sa Gitnang Silangan para tumulong sa paglikas sa overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

Sa kanyang talumpati sa send-off program kahapon sa Pier 13 sa Port Area, Maynila, sinabi ng Pangulo na kanyang ipag­darasal ang tagumpay ng misyon.

“There will be imponderables to reckon with. Hindi natin alam. But I hope that this mission will succeed. Do not worry, I will be with you and if need be pupunta rin ako roon kung magkahirapan,” aniya.

“I wish you luck. I’ll add with my prayers that the winds will sail you to the Middle East safely. I will keep track of every moment of your trip and I will be there in case you need me. Pupunta ako roon sa inyo wherever you are,” dagdag niya.

May 1,000 tropa mula sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang ipinadala sa Gitnang Silangang para sa repatriation mission.
