SA darating na October ay ika-sampung taon na ni Daiana Menezes sa showbiz.
Ayon sa Brazilian model/actress/TV host, happy siya sa takbo ng kanyang career at hardwork daw ang numerong unong rason kaya siya tumagal ng ganito.
“Nag-e-enjoy naman po ako sa aking showbiz career, in one word I’d say: hardwork. I think career is passion, if you’re still passionate about what you do, as long as mahal mo ang trabaho mo, it doesn’t matter kung nakikita ang pagka-busy mo sa work ng mga tao, kung sikat ka sa tingin nila or hindi. Thats the business side of things, yung pera, na hindi po dapat iyon ang inuuna,” wika ni Daiana.
Inusisa rin namin siya ukol sa pagsisimula ng kanyang career sa showbiz. “I started 2007, with Eat Bulaga. Yes that makes ten years this year on October! Ang feeling ko… just chill! Hahaha! Wow! I made it this far? I’m still here?!
“Salamat po sa blessing of having the opportunity to work and the acceptance and embrace of the Filipinos. If not for the people I wouldn’t be here until now.
Sa mind ko, Pinay ako sa past life ko,” masayang saad pa niya.
Kabilang sa mga show ngayon ni Daiana ang The Fiercest of Them All. Kasama niya rito sa judging panel ay ang model/fitness trainer na si Matthias Rhoads, celeberity stylist/fashion writer na si Bea Jocom, at ang fashion designer na si Doggficher. Si Martin Rey Aviles ang direktor nito.
“One of my shows ay ang The Fiercest of Them All on GMA News TV, 9pm on Sundays. It’s a Fanta-reality series, twelve girls fighting for the spot of the fiercest of them all. We got beauty queens, beauty queen pinays and foreigners and models and a lawyer.
“We chose thru audition twelve different girls, all working independent women, the choice was made by their talino, character and personality, the only thing in common they had was a bit of modeling background. We’re not looking for a beautiful face with a model body type, we are looking for the bravest and most hardworking person we can find to add more to the industry. So therefore, the fiercest of them all,” kuwento pa sa amin ni Daiana.
Napapanood din si Daiana sa Super Sabong sa Pinoy Xtreme cable channel, Thursdays to Saturdays at sa movie na Way of the Cross na tinatampukan nina Anthony Diaz V, Alvin Anson, Rafael Rosell, Roxanne Barcelo, at iba pa.
Kabilang naman sa endorsements niya ang Ever Bilena, Shell, Lady Grace Intimate Apparel, Belo, Prettylooks, Nailfiles, Ka’Fen shampoo, at MAGRA fit coffee.
Ano ang intrigang pinaka-affected at nasaktan siya? “Diyos ko, marami, dami na! I guess ang intriga is partly the celebrity’s fault of being careless in their public life or persona and behavior to others. Ang ayaw ko lang ng mga judgement na opposite sa nangyari, kasi the more we talk, the more it becomes magulo.
“Ang pinaka-hate ko pagdating sa pera or ‘pag kini-question ang pagiging independent ko. Like some people who don’t know me can think I look for a rich boyfriend or even think I could be sold, that makes me angry because showing skin on a post is different from letting people touch you.”
