MINALIIT ng Palasyo ang plano ni Vice President Jejomar Binay na maghayag ng ‘tunay’ na State of the Nation Address (SONA).
“E ‘di wow,” tila sarkastikong sagot ni Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda nang tanungin ang reaksiyon ng Palasyo sa “true SONA” ni Binay.
Aniya, ang SONA ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino III ay batay sa technical report mula sa mga opisyal na estadistika at bahala si Binay kung ang ang magiging batayan ng kanyang sariling SONA, kung ito ma’y manggaling sa Andersen’s fairy tale.
“The state of the nation address of the President is, by the way, supported by a SONA Technical Report. There is a Technical Report that is put out for everyone to see, the basis for the President citing those figures. So they are all based on figures and statistics. It’s up to the Vice President whatever he wants to quote. He wants to quote from a Andersen’s Fairy Tale, it’s up to him,” sabi ni Lacierda.
Hinamon ni Lacierda si Binay na gawin ang madalas sabihin ng TV host na si Boy Abunda na humarap sa salamin at tanungin sa sarili kung totoo ang paratang niya sa Pangulo na “unstatesmanlike” ang huling SONA na puro pasaring sa kalaban.
“Unstatesmanlike? Siguro tingnan muna niya sarili niya sa salamin, at gayahin niyang ginagawa ni Boy Abunda,” ani Lacierda.
