Pinoy welder missing sa Gulf of Mexico (Nahulog sa oil rig)
Isang 38-anyos na Pinoy welder ang nawawala matapos mahulog sa oil rig sa Gulf of Mexico, malapit sa Texas, USA, Linggo ng gabi, oras doon.
Sa impormasyong inilabas ng Philippine Embassy sa Twitter account nito (@philippinesusa), patuloy ang search operations ng US Coast Guard sa Pinoy oil worker na nahulog sa platform sa Vermillion Block 200, timog ng Freshwater Bayou pagitan ng Lake Charles at Baton Rouge.
Binubuo ang search team ng dalawang cutters, dalawang eroplano at dalawang helicopter ng US Coast Guard bukod pa sa anim na civilian offshore supply vessels.
“We have been assured by the US Coast Guard that they are searching aggressively for our missing kababayan,” ani Ambassador Jose Cuisia. “We hope and pray that they will find him tomorrow.”
Nakikipag-ugnayan na rin ang Philippine Consulate General sa Chicago sa mga lokal na awtoridad ukol sa update sa nawawalang Filipino welder.
