“I suggest the people complaining should find out more about the origin of Halloween so they will not have misplaced sensitivities.”
‘Yan ang sunOd-sunod naming nabasang reaction ni Tito sa Twitter ayon sa report ni Jam Sisante.
Nauna rito, nagpahayag si Tito ng, ”Sheik SHAWAF of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, gave me that costume. He likes it everytime I get a chance to wear it. I wear it to honor him,” bilang tugon sa panawagang public apology ni Governor Mujiv Hataman ng Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) na nainsulto sa pagsusuot nina Joey at Tito ng thobe.
Matapang ang naging reaction ng isang @kuwennaga who said, ”How dare you!! A senador and a RACIST! That is a muslim dress and not a costume on your Halloween. Trying to start an Islamophobia in the Philippines. You are a public figure that people look up to and yet you are implying into the minds of innocent that Muslims are scary. This is for sure, our community will not vote for you.”
“Siguro daHil sikat ngayon ang EB at malapit na ang eleksyon…tsk tsk tsk, I would have understand if Tito Sotto or Joey De Leon said anything negative or disrepect towards Muslim but there’s none. I have seen people use the same costume even on Christmas.
“I am not a fan of Tito nor I plan to vote for him but just to put this in a simple perspective, every person always can find wrong in something if your objective is to be negative,” say naman ng kakampi ni Tito.
