P2.265-T 2014 pork less budget pirmado na ni PNoy

NILAGDAAN na ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino III kahapon ang kauna-unahang “pork less” budget sa kanyang administrasyon na P2.265 trilyon o ang 2014 General Appropriations Act

Nakapaloob sa P2.265 trilyong budget ang P841.8 bilyon para sa social services; P593.1 bilyon para sa economic services; P377.6 bilyon para sa debt service; P362.6 bilyon para sa general public services; at P89.9 bilyon sa defense.

“We will not allow the mistakes of the past to be repeated. We are continuously improving on the strategy we laid out when we began treading the straight path. Through proper spending—and through cooperation with partner institutions—we will equip the government with the wherewithal to respond to any situation confronting our country. This is still the basis of our goal to ensure that each peso in our national coffers redounds to equivalent benefits for our bosses—the Filipino people,” anang Pangulo sa kanyang talumpati sa Malacanang.

Ayon sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM), ang P25.2 bilyon na ilalaan sana para sa Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) ay ibibigay sa iba’t ibang ahensya na magpapatupad ng mga regular na programa at proyekto, lalo na para sa mga biktima ng mga sunod-sunod na kalamidad.

Magugunitang matapos mabulgar ang P10-B pork barrel scam ay idineklara ng Korte Suprema na labag sa Konstistusyon ang PDAF.
