B.LEAGUE Hope ASIA HOOP FESTIVAL 2025 in Manila

The Japan Professional Basketball League (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Shinji Shimada; hereinafter referred to as “B.LEAGUE”) will hold the “B.LEAGUE Hope ASIA HOOP FESTIVAL 2025 in Manila” on October 25 (Saturday) and 26 (Sunday), 2025. This two-day event will take place at The Tenement Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City, Metro Manila, Philippines, and aims to contribute to solving social issues in the Philippines through basketball and to deepen exchanges between Japan and the Philippines.

Currently, many players from the Philippines are active in the B.LEAGUE, and their presence significantly supports the league’s growth. This event was designed out of respect and gratitude for these players, and with the hope to deepen the bond between the two countries using “basketball” as a common language.

• Event Details

① Basketball Court at the Tenement to be Decorated with a B.LEAGUE Player Design

The court at the Tenement, a symbolic location for Filipino basketball culture, will be adorned with Filipino players active in the B.LEAGUE, who serve as a bridge between Philippines and Japan. This art project conveys the messages of “the power to keep dreaming” and “the hope created by sports”.                                                         

②B.Hope ASIA Jr. Clinic

A basketball clinic will be held, primarily for children living in the Tenement, with the goals of promoting physical and mental wellness and fostering teamwork and a spirit of challenge. Participants will receive an event-exclusive original T-shirt.

③B.Hope ASIA Pass It Forward (T-shirt Donation Campaign)

Based on the spirit of “Pass It Forward”, B.LEAGUE will donate T-shirts to the residents of the Tenement. This donation activity aims to bring smiles and hope through the power of sports to the community. In addition, the video messages from Filipino B.LEAGUE players will be shown at the donation ceremony.

④B.Hope ASIA 3×3 Challenge／B.Hope ASIA 1on1 Challenge

Tournaments for 3×3 (on the 25th) and 1on1 (on the 26th) will be held for local youth and children. The 3×3 tournament will feature mixed-gender teams to promote gender equality. Through basketball, the events aim to bring out the participants’ talents and generate new energy and smiles in the community.
