HANDANG-HANDA na ang 14 EMBO schools sa pagbubukas ng klase bukas, Martes, 29 Agosto, habang sabik ang mga estudyanteng magamit ang natanggap na school packages mula sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Taguig.
Ang school package na ibinibigay ng Taguig LGU sa mga paaralan ay nakadepende sa grade level ng mga estudyante, ang bawat school package ay kinabibilangan ng bag, daily at PE uniforms, medyas, black shoes, rubber shoes, at kompletong set ng basic school supplies.
Sa daycare, kinder, at elementary ay makatatanggap ng 3 sets ng uniform at 1 PE set (susukatan ang mga estudyante para rito), black shoes sa high school at rubber shoes sa mga pre-school.
Kompleto rin ang school kit na kinabibilangan ng backpack, writing notebook, composition notebooks, pad paper, jumbo crayons, 3 pencils, eraser, sharpener, scissor, ballpen, correction tape, fastener, art paper, glue rules, plastic envelope na may handle, emergency contact card, health kit bag, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand towel, at alcohol spray.
Isa ang high school student na si Faith Nicole Daguio sa nakatanggap ng school package, aniya, nang malamang ililipat sila sa Taguig ay kinabahan siya dahil mawawala ang inaasahan nilang school benefits ngunit nang mag-ikot at mamahagi na si Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano ng school package ay nawala na rin ang kanilang agam-agam.
Personal na iniabot ni Mayor Lani ang school packages sa mga estudyante.
“More than the material things na itu-turnover, ang presence po natin ngayon ay testament sa kahandaan nating lahat to really support our learners, to really support their dreams and aspirations in life, and to do our best to show them that we are ready to cooperate — handa tayong magkaisa ‘pag ang pinag-usapan ay ang kanilang future,” pahayag ni Mayor Lani.
Sinabi ni Pitogo High School Administrative Officer Dr. Mary Rose M. Roque, ang pagtanggap nila ng school supplies sa Taguig ay hudyat ng pagtanggap nila sa pagbabago.
“It’s a day of significance, a day that we come together to welcome and embrace change, growth and the promise of the future. The act of receiving these supplies signifies the transition of one phase to another, a transition that is marked by anticipation, enthusiasm, and a sense of readiness, to explore the uncharted territories of knowledge. Therefore, equipping our very own students the means to express themselves and flourish,” pagtatapos ni Roque.
Samantala, inilarga na rin ng Taguig ang kanilang Lifeline Assistance for Neighbors In-need (LANI) Scholarship Program para sa mga estudyante ng EMBO.
“The City will be offering scholarships not only to Senior High School graduates, but to all qualified residents of the city’s 10 new barangays,” pahayag ng Taguig.
Hindi gaya sa Makati, hindi limitado sa 10% ng graduating class ang alok na scholarship ng Taguig bagkus bukas ito sa lahat ng year levels at hanggang sa nagrerebyu ng licensure examinations at post graduate studies.
May honor man o wala ang mga high school graduates ay maaaring mag-apply ng P15,000 hanggang P50,000 kada taon.
Nasa 40,000 hanggang 50,000 kada taon sa mga gustong mag-aral sa premier colleges at universities at P15,000 sa mga gustong kumuha ng technical at vocational courses.
Sa mga nagrerebyu ng board at bar exams ay mayroong one-time assistance na P15,000 hanggang P20,000 at dagdag na P50,000 pa kung papasok sa Top 10. Nasa 3,200 licensed professionals na ang nakinabang sa nasabing programa.
Sa mga kumukuha ng Master’s at Doctorate degrees ay P18,000 hanggang P60,000 habang may tulong din na P50,000 sa Thesis and Dissertation Grant o sa kabuuan ay nasa P110,000.
