Unang Airbus A330neo dumating na Cebu Pacific, ‘greenest airline’ sa Asya

DUMATING na ang kauna-unahaang Airbus A330neo (New Engine Option) ng Cebu Pacific, nitong Linggo, 28 Nobyembre, kaya maituturing na itong ‘greenest airline’ sa Asia.

Kabilang sa mga feature ng bagong aircraft ng Cebu Pacific ang 459 lightweight Recaro seats, na idinesenyo para maging komportable ang pasahero sa mahahabang biyahe.

Mas maraming pasahero na ang maisasakay sa isang flight at maitatala ang pinakamababang carbon footprint kada pasahero, kaya maituturing nang ‘greenest airline’ sa Asya ang Cebu Pacific.

“Cebu Pacific’s first A330neo brings us closer to our target of having an all-Neo fleet by 2027, and shows our commitment to making air travel accessible, while ensuring environmental and social sustainability,” pahayag ni Alex Reyes, Chief Strategy Officer ng Cebu Pacific.

This is why we will always choose the greener options – increased aircraft efficiency, reduced noise and carbon emissions, to ensure that more low fares will be available for everyJuan,” dagdag niya.

Sa pinakabagong teknolohiya ng A330neo, gumagamit ang eco-plane na ito ng 25% mas mababang fuel kaysa lumang aircraft – komokonsumo lamang ng 1.4 litro kada upuan kada 100 kilometro.

Ipinagmamalaki ng Airbus na ang A330neo ay sumusunod sa kasalukuyan at sa panghinaharap na noise and emissions sustainability requirements, na makapagbibigay sa mga pasahero ng komportable at tahimik na biyahe.

Dahil sa mga piling materyales at makina para sa aircraft an ito, naibaba ang exterior noise footprint ng halos 60%, at ang antas ng ingay sa loob nito ay 3db na mas tahimik kaysa iba.

Pinaandar ang A330neo ng pinakabagong Trent 7000 engines ng Rolls Royce at may bago rin composite wing na may pinalawak na span.

Nakatakdang bumiyahe ang pinakabagong aircraft ng Cebu Pacific sa susunod na buwan patungo sa mga destinasyon sa international at domestic network ng airline.

Ang Cebu Pacific ang may pinakamalawak na domestic network sa bansa na mayroong 33 destinasyon, kabilang ang 12 nitong biyaheng internasyonal.

Isa sa pinakabata sa buong mundo, kabilang sa 73-strong fleet nito ang dalawang ATR freighter. (KARLA OROZCO)
