Quezon’s Game, waging-wagi sa 5th Urduja Int’l Filmfest

INIHAYAG na ang mga nagwagi sa 7th Urduja International Film Festival Heritage Film Awards noong Lunes, December 28, 2020.

Halos lahat ng kategorya ay may higit sa isang winner, sa major film and acting categories man o sa teknikal.

Itinanghal na Best Heritage Film ang mga pelikulang Quezon’s Game,  Mindanao, Lola Igna, at Culion.

Jury Prize awardees naman ang Iska (Drama), Metamor­phosis at Mga Batang Poz (Advocacy), Hello Love, Good­bye  (Romance), at Babae At Baril, Watch Me Kill, at Dead Kids  (Suspense/Thriller).

Triple tie naman bilang Best Actor sina Raymond Bagatsin (Quezon’s Game), Allen Dizon (Mindanao), at Alden Richards (Hello Love, Goodbye).

Triple tie rin bilang Best Actress sina Judy Ann Santos (Mindanao), Iza Calzado (Culion), at Janine Gutierrez (Babae At Baril).

Best Supporting Actor winner naman sina Yves Flores (Lola Igna), Billy Ray Gallion (Quezon’s Game), at Mike Liwag (Culion) samantalang tatlo rin ang winner bilang Best Supporting Actress: sina Rachel Alejandro (Quezon’s Game), Jaclyn Jose (Khalel 15), at Suzette Ranillo (Culion).

Best Actor in Comedy or Musical sina Carlo Aquino (Isa Pa With Feelings), Enchong Dee (Elise), at Nar Cabico (Akin Ang Korona) habang ang mga Best Actress in Comedy or Musical winner ay sina Angie Ferro (Lola Igna), Sue Ramirez (Cuddle Weather), at Gabbi Garcia (Last Song Syndrome).

Ang mga nanalo bilang Best Director ay sina Matthew Rosen (Quezon’s Game), Brillante Mendoza (Mindanao), Eduardo Roy (Lola Igna), at Alvin Yapan (Culion).

Best New Lead Actor sina Gold Azeron (Metamorphosis), Royce Cabrera (Fuccbois), at Jerome Ponce (Finding You) samantalang Best New Lead Actress winner naman sina Ruby Ruiz (Iska), Sue Prado (Alma Ata), at Louise delos Reyes (Hanggang Kailan).

Best Young Actor winner sina Elijah Canlas (Khalel 15), Louise Abuel (Edward), Jansen Magpusao (John Denver Trending), at Kelvin Miranda (Dead Kids) habang Best Young Actress winner sina Therese Malvar (Distance), Barbara Miguel (Gasping for Air), Gabby Padilla (Khalel 15), at Andrea Brillantes (Banal).

Best Actor in a Cameo Role naman sina William Lorenzo (Hello Love, Goodbye), JC Santos (Babae At Baril), Audie Gemora (Quezon’s Game) at Best Actress in a Cameo Role naman sina Merryl Soriano (Lola Igna), Suzette Ranillo (Jowable), at Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan (Hello Love, Goodbye).

Ang mga tropeo at plake ay ipagkakaloob sa mga nanalo sa awards ceremonies ng UIFF’s School and Open Film Competition ngayong taong 2021; ina-announce ng pamunuan ng Urduja Film Festival ang eksaktong petsa at venue.

Samantala, ang iba pang mga nagwagi ay ang mga sumusunod: Best New Performer: Fino Herrera (Mga Batang Poz), Carlos Dala (Gasping for Air), Raven Molina (Mga BatangPoz), at Ivan Padilla (12).

Isa lamang ang nanalo bilang Best Cinematography at ito ay si Matthew Rosen para Quezon’s Game na siya ring nagwagi bilang Best Production Design.

Best Screenplay naman ang napanalunan ni Dean Rosen para Quezon’s Game.
