Jaclyn Jose, remembered her enormous struggles as a single mom who was trying to make both ends meet in her latest Instagram post.
She wrote: “…I am a single mom of 2, I worked so hard to make them feel that everything was okay.
“Napuputulan ng ilaw o ‘di makabayad ng rental, but that doesn’t mean na ipapasa ko problema ko sa mga anak ko…
“I haven’t gotten a single centavo sa mga anak ko.”
As a mom, she believes in the “no controlling” parenting style, and would usually give her kids the freedom to make their own decision in life and be responsible for them.
“Kakayanin ko lahat para sa mga anak ko,” she continued stoically.
“I did all my best to raise them.
“Happy lang…no controlling para ‘pag time naman nila, gawin nila naman para sa mga anak nila…
“Let them. At the end, they will (be) more responsible… us parents must understand our children. let them leave, madadapa iyan pero babangon kung hahayaan natin sila.”
Dahil ang post niya ay natiyempo sa imbroglio involving Sarah, Matteo and Mommy Divinie, the 55-year-old actress stressed: “Di ako nakikisawsaw sa issue, just giving my point.”
She also gave this reminder for all parents to ponder on: “‘Wag i-obligate your children to pay your dreams, they have their own too.”
