ISA si Kris Aquino sa producer ng pelikula niyang (K)Ampon na entry sa 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival, sumosyo siya sa Spring Films na co-producer ng Quantum Films kaya siguro aligaga rin siya nang hindi na pumuwede si Derek Ramsay bilang leading man niya dahil may TV series ito sa GMA 7.
At sa sobrang excitement ni Kris ay ipinost na niya na si Gabby Concepcion na ang kapalit ni Derek bagay na wala pang approval ng MMFF execom dahil hindi pa sila nagmi-meeting.
Base sa post ni Kris, ipinaliwanag niyang mas kailangang unahin ni Derek ang serye dahil naka-exclusive contract siya.
“Derek Ramsay has a GMA NETWORK contract. Mahaba ang partnership nila ng QUANTUM FILMS, in fact for Atty Joji he’s like a son. This led to arguments between Atty Joji & myself because I felt like the “AMPON” since many adjustments were being made for @ramsayderek07.
“Derek and I have spoken. We go way back, 2004-2005 when we did our San Miguel Beer TVC. Nagkasagutan pero dahil may pinagsamahan- nagkaunawaan. I respect that he has a GMA network contract that should be his top priority. CHILL kami.
“ We owe @popoycaritativo and @concepciongabby BIG TIME. MMFF rules state change of lead stars should be of equal status. Had Gabby said NO, wala nang movie, goodbye sa MMFF bond, sa pre prod cost, sa mga downpayment etc. From my whole heart THANK YOU.
“I am managed by @cornerstonesister company of @springfilms. We are co-investors in this movie. Kaya po financially, intellectually, and emotionally invested.

Ramdam namin ang stress ngayon ng production team ng (K)Ampon kaya siguro ilang beses na naming itine-text si Atty. Jojie Alonso ay hindi kami sinasagot.
At nitong isang araw lang kami tinext, “I’m sorry Reg, I can’t make a statement simply because we have to wait for the MMFF Execom’s decision on our request. Mali kung pangunahan ko sila because that would be disrespectful. I am just abiding by the rules. Salamat.”
At tungkol naman sa post ni Kris, “I can only speak for myself as the producer. Kris is excited because she can’t wait to shoot.
“Don’t know when the next execom meeting will be. Meanwhile, we continue to work on the film’s completion and hope and pray our request will be granted.”
Ayon naman sa spokesperson ng MMFF na si Noel Ferrer, wala pang naka-set na meeting kung kailan, “magmi-meeting pa Execom on that. Sine-set palang.”
Sana pumayag ang MMFF execom sa kahilingan ng Quantum at Spring Films.
