Resbak ni Sara: Archbishop Soc Villegas masahol pa sa 100 Duterte

MAS masahol pa si Lingayen Archbishop Soc Villegas sa mahigit 100 Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Ito ang buwelta ni presidential daughter at Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte sa open letter ni Villegas sa namayapang Jaime Cardinal Sin, na inakusahan ang kanyang ama na dinungisan ang alaala ng EDSA People Power 1 revolution.

Ani Sara, mula noong 1986 hanggang bago maluklok ang kanyang ama sa Palasyo, natatandaan niya ang talamak na korupsiyon, krimen, awayan sa teritoryo ng mga gang at druglords, extrajudicial killings, narco politics, terorismo, protracted rebellion, pag-abuso sa gobyerno, bangayan ng mga politiko, at pagpasok ng mga dayuhang mafia.

Tiyak aniya na hindi ito nagsimula nang umupo sa Malacañang ang kanyang ama.

Giit ni Sara, nanalo ang kanyang ama dahil binalewala ng mga tulad ni Villegas ang mga ma-ling nangyayari sa bansa, dahil abala sa pagsusu-mikap na maglagay ng isang lider na pareho ang takbo ng kanilang isip, at hindi ito si Rodrigo Duterte.

“When your friend failed as a President, I cannot remember you calling it the rape of EDSA. You just swept it under your glitzy rugs and you moved on, back to business — back to acting as if you can save us all from hell,” aniya, na ang tinutukoy ay si dating Pangulong Benigno Aquino III, na kaibigan ni Villegas.

“I find it hard to understand why this bloodless revolution has become the standard definition of freedom for our country and this standard is forced down our throats by a certain group of individuals who think they are better than everyone else. These are the elite and their friends, including Archbishop Villegas,” wika ni Sara.

“Your group is sadly a bunch of delusional hy-pocrites. While all of you were up there riding high on your horses, you failed to notice that many of us down here empathize with what Rodrigo Duterte is saying because it is the hard truth. It is truly without the air of hyprocrisy that we smell from your kind,” dagdag niya.

Ikinuwento ni Sara noong gabi ng 25 Pebrero  1986 ay ginising siya ng kanyang ama upang isama at saksihan ang pagdiriwang ng mga taga-Davao sa tagum-pay ng EDSA 1.

“How dare you say that we are trying to prostitute the meaning of EDSA. My father perfectly understood what the spirit of EDSA is, otherwise, he would not have told me to never forget that night of 31 years ago. And I now believe that he understands it better than you do,” giit ni Sara.

Kung maglitanya aniya ang mga pari hinggil sa kalayaan, animo’y sila ang nag-imbento nito at inihandog sa ating lahat.

Para kay Sara, ang kalayaan ay mamuhay nang hindi ayon sa idinidikta nang piniling pamantayan sa mora-lidad ng mga pari.

“You preach about freedom as if you invented it, as if it is your gift to us. Let me tell you what freedom is. It is to live a life that is free from your selective moral standard. This is what the meaning of EDSA.

Unfortunately for you Archbishop Villegas, this is not a biased commentary on your letter to the dead because I am not a fan of President Duterte. But you are truly, madly, deeply worse than a hundred President Dutertes,” dagdag niya.

Sa kanyang talum-pati sa turn-over ceremony ng Rehabilitation Facility ng Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Brgy. Peñaplata, Igacos, Davao del Norte, inihayag ni Pa-ngulong Duterte ang kanyang galak sa pagtatanggol sa kanya ni Sara.
