KABILANG ang pamahalaang lungsod ng Caloocan sa patimpalak ng Meralco sa K-Ligtas (Kuryenteng Ligtas) Awards Local Government Unit Category makaraan makakitaan ng “excellent electrical safety management.”
Ayon sa Meralco, na-promote ng Caloocan ang best practices lalo’t higit sa lahat ang electrical safety.
Ang K-Ligtas Awards ay ang kauna-unahan sa bansa na magbibigay ng karangalan sa mga organisasyon at business establishments para sa kanilang electrical safety excellence at invaluable heroism sa pagpo-promote ng kaligtasan sa lugar ng paggawa (workplace) sa Caloocan na nagsasagawa ng mga nabanggit.
Ang K-Ligtas Awards ay adbokasiya ng Meralco sa pamamagitan ng kanilang Power Academy, katuwang ang ilang awtoridad sa electrical systems, labor management, at public safety: ang Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Phils. (IIEE), ang Department of Labor and Employment’s Occupational Safety at Health Center, ang Professional Regulation Commission Board of Electrical Engineering, ang Unibersidad ng Pilipinas, at ang Bureau of Fire Protection.
Ang lahat ng pamahalaang lungsod o LGU na kasapi ay sumailalim sa isang evaluation gamit ang mga criteria na inihanda ng committee on awards.
Ang Caloocan ay isa sa finalists na nakaabot sa mga sumusunod na pagsusuri o assessment: Zero fatality (no occurrence of electrical-related deaths within the past year); Zero lost time from electrical-related incidents; No property damage caused by electrical-related accidents; Relevance and impact of implemented safety programs, existing processes, practices and technologies that support the achievement of goals in the protection of workers and properties from electrical hazards and accidents; at Workplace Audit Findings.
Lubos na natuwa si Mayor Oscar Malapitan nang malaman niyang kabilang ang makasaysayang lungsod sa mga finalist sa naturang kompetisyon. “This will be another laurel for Caloocan City,” aniya.
“Tao Ang Una” (People First policy) is not only investing the government’s resources to equip the individual in becoming a productive member of the society, but also to ensure their welfare and safety in any foreseeable dangers,” wika niya.
Ang mga mananalo ay paparangalan sa pagbubukas ng ika-41 National Convention of the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines sa November 25, 2016 sa SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
