CPP-NPA-NDF nagdeklara ng indefinite unilateral ceasefire (Sa first round ng peace talk)

NAGDEKLARA ng indefinite unilateral ceasefire ang Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) kahapon sa pagtatapos ng first round ng peace talks sa Oslo, Norway.

Sa nilagdaang joint statement ng mga kinatawan ng gobyernong Duterte at CPP-NPA-NDF, nakasaad na magbubuo ng ceasefire monitoring committees ang magkabilang panig sa layuning makabuo ng bilateral indefinite ceasefire declaration sa loob ng 60 araw.

Sinabi ni Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza, ipinaabot ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagbati sa tagumpay ng first round ng peace talks.

Nagkasundo aniya ang magkabilang panig na resolbahin ang iba pang usapin sa pagbubukas muli ng second round ng peace talks sa Oktubre 8-12 gaya ng panukalang reporma sa social, economic, at political issues.

Nagpasalamat si NDF chief negotiator Luis Jalandoni kay Pangulong Duterte sa sinseridad sa pagsusulong ng kapayapaan sa bansa.

Nauna nang nagtakda ng indefinite unilateral ceasefire ang gobyernong Duterte bago magsimula ang first round ng peace talks.

“Good news to the Filipino people that the political prisoners would be released, and land reform and other social and economic reforms will be seriously undertaken. So, the farmers of Hacienda Luisita and Hacienda Look may be gladdened that these steps are going forward,” aniya.

Sa nakalipas na limang araw ay nagkasundo ang magkabilang panig na kilalanin ang mga naunang nilagdaang kasunduan, pagbuo ng bagong Joint Agreement on Security and Immunity Guarantees (JASIG) list, pagpapalaya ng political detainees, at amnesty proclamation ni Pangulong Duterte.

“But we need the people to continue building their strength to defend their rights and to work with us in bringing about a just and lasting peace in our country,” ani Jalandoni.

Bago nagtapos ang first round ng peace talks ay inilatag ng NDF panel sa GRP ang isyu ng planong demolisyon sa mga bahay ng 353 mangingisda at magsasaka sa Maragondon, Cavite.
