“PLEASE take them down.” Ito ang pakiusap ni Ice Seguerra sa mga nag-upload ng halos buong concert nila sa social media.
Nadesmaya nga si Ice sa mga netizen o fans na nanood ng Sessionistas: The Playlist concert nila na ginanap noong August 22 sa The Theatre at Solaire.
Kasama ni Ice sa concert sina Sitti Navarro, Nyoy Volante, Kean Cipriano, Prince Velasco, at Juris.
Idinaan ni Direk Ice ang pagkadesmaya sa kanyang Facebook post noong Lunes, August 24, aniya, “I really have to say this.
“I appreciate that people take video highlights of our performances during shows. I love seeing your reactions, your favorite moments, and the songs that meant something to you.
“But uploading full performances — or almost the entire concert — is different.”
Katuwiran kasi ni Ice, “When you buy a concert ticket, you’re buying the experience of watching the show. You are not buying the right to record the whole thing and upload it to your own YouTube page or social media pages.
“Hindi po dahil nakabili tayo ng ticket, atin na rin ang concert.”
Dagdag na pahayag pa ng magaling na singer, “There are artists, musicians, composers, producers, publishers, crew, and so many people behind every performance. That work is protected, and reposting full songs or entire portions of a concert without permission is not simply “sharing.” It is unauthorized distribution of someone else’s work.
“Please share your favorite moments. Post your photos. Post short clips. Tell people what you loved about the show. We appreciate all of that.”
Pakiusap ni Ice,”But please don’t upload the concert itself.”
Panawagan pa niya, “To those who have uploaded full performances from our shows, I’m asking you to please take them down.
“Support the music. Support the artists.
“Please don’t turn our work into content you never had the right to distribute.”
Nagbabala naman ang better-half ni Ice na siya ring creative director ng concert na si Liza Diño. Aniya, may legal action na puwede silang gawin laban sa mga unauthorized na pag-a-upload ng videos na kuha sa concert.
Ani Liza sa kanyang Facebook post, “I need to say this because it is becoming increasingly disturbing.
“When you buy a ticket to a concert, you are buying the right to watch the show. You are not buying the right to record the entire concert, upload full performances to your YouTube page or social media pages, and redistribute someone else’s copyrighted work as if it were your own content.
“That is not simply ‘sharing the experience.’
“Ang hirap intindihin kung saan nanggagaling yung entitlement na dahil nakabili ka ng ticket, pwede mo nang i-upload ang buong concert online.
“Please understand: a ticket is not a license to pirate the show.”
Saad pa ni Liza, “We love seeing your photos, short clips, reactions, and moments from the concert. In fact, we are grateful that you want to share them.
“But there is a very clear difference between celebrating a performance and republishing the performance itself.”
Pinapa-take down din ni Liza ang video na in-upload.
“For pages currently uploading full-length material from our concerts: please take them down.
“We will be protecting the rights of our artists and our productions, and we will take the necessary steps against unauthorized uploads when needed.”
Aniya pa, “Support artists by sharing the experience.”
Sa huli iginiit ni Liza, na “Please don’t steal the work.”
Samantala, inaanyayahan ni Ice ang ating mga kababayan sa Australia para sa kanyang Pagdating ng Panahon concert.
Aniya, “Sa mga kababayan natin diyan sa Australia, we’re celebrating the 25th of anniversary of ‘Pagdating ng Panahon’ with a tour. 🫶
“Kaya kitakits tayo sa Sydney at Canberra!.
Ang first stop nila ay da Sydney (Aug 29), pagkaraan ay sa Canberra(Aug 30), sunod ang Melbourne (Sept 4), at at ang panghuli, ang Adelaide (Sept 5).
