NOONG Linggo, May 4, ay binigyan ng posthumous award ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos ang Nag-iisang Superstar at National Artist For Film and Broadcast Arts na si Nora Aunor. Ito ay ang Presidential Medal of Merit.
Kahit sumakabilang buhay na si ate Guy ay tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang pagtanggap niya ng award.
For the record, si ate Guy ang pinaka-awarded na aktres sa Philippine showbiz. At hindi lang sa Pilipinas kinikilala ang husay niya sa pagganap, maging sa ibang bansa din.
Ang ilan sa mga International Awards ni ate Guy ay ang Best Actress noong 1995 sa Cairo Int’l Film Fest para sa The Flor Contemplacion Story, 1996 Malaysia Int’l Filmfest Best Actress para sa Bakit May Kahapon Pa, at 2004 Brussells Int’l Filmfest Best Actress para sa Naglalayag.
Dahil sa posthumous award na iginawad ng ating pangulo kay ate Guy, nagpasalamat sa kanya ang anak nitong si Lotlot de Leon kinabukasan, May 5, sa pamamagitan ng kanyang Facebook account.
