EO vs Endo ‘di na pipirmahan ni Digong (Sesertipikahang priority bill) — DoLE

HINDI na pipirmahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang executive order (EO) hinggil sa kontraktuwalisasyon, anunsiyo ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, nitong Huwebes.

Sinabi ni Bello sa pulong balitaan sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), sesertipikahan na lamang ni Duterte bilang priority bill ang nakabinbing panukala sa Senado kaugnay sa “security of tenure.”

Aniya, ang tatlong drafts ng EO ay nakarating na sa Office of the President at pinag-aaralan na ng Office of the Executive Secretary.

Ang EO at Senate bill, aniya ay “reinforcements” sa DOLE Department Order 174, na makatutugon sa isyu ng unlawful contractualization “if there is an effective and honest-to-goodness implementation” ng order.

“One version—it says they must be recognized as regular employees of the hiring company, and the other one says they should be recognized as regular employees of the service contractor,” pahayag ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque sa pulong balitaan sa Malacañang, tumutukoy sa drafts ng EO na tinanggap ng Pangulo.
