NAGSAMPA ng kasong acts of lasciviousness si Rita Daniela laban kay Archie Alemania sa City Prosecution Office sa Bacoor, Cavite noong October, 2024, dahil sa umano’y pambabastos sa kanya ng aktor.

Ayon kay Rita, nangyari raw ang pambabastos sa kanya ni Archie noong September 9, matapos um-attend sa pa-thanksgiving party ng co-star nilang si Bea Alonzo sa Kapuso series na Widows’ War sa Quezon City.

“That being a public figure, a contractual artist with reputation to protect, it is very difficult for me to file the instant case but the trauma I was and am experiencing brought about by the incident gave me courage to face the consequences and file the instant case against the respondent,” pahayag ni Rita sa kanyang complaint affidavit.

Hanggang ngayon ay dinidinig pa rin sa korte ang reklamo ni Rita kasunod ng paghahain naman ng counter-affidavit ni Archie na itinanggi lahat ng paratang ng aktres.

Sa panayam ng ABS-CBN kay Rita, nabanggit nitong grabe ang epekto sa kanya ng nangyari. 

“Well of course it affected me so much. I just don’t like talking about it actually. Most especially now, because it’s already a case. It’s already there.

“But I just think that everything happens for a reason, and I trust God why He let that thing happen to me. I have to say mas guarded na ako, a bit.

“I try my very best to still act the same but siyempre hindi mo na ‘yun maaalis sa akin na siyempre may trauma pa rin ‘yan, eh.

“So I just have to really be guarded and be more mindful and really choose the people that I open up to and that I talk to,” sabi ni Rita sa naturang interview.
