Jose Mari Chan, Ricky Lee, at Coco pinuri ng FFCCCII

PINAPURIHAN ni Dr. Henry Lim Bon Liong, presidente ng Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) ang singer at songwriter na si Jose Mari Chan, si National Artist na si Ricky Lee, atang aktor na si Coco Martin sa kontribusyon ng mga ito sa tagumpay ng Pilipinas.

Ani Liong, “The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) thanks award-winning singer, songwriter and businessman Jose Mari Chan for his recent selfless contribution to our efforts to promote better friendship and win-win cooperation between the Philippines and our ancient trade partner and ally China. We also pay tribute to him for his numerous, inspiring musical contributions to Philippine culture. His late father Antonio Chan was also a respected business and civic leader.”

Sinabi naman ni Wilson Lee Flores, writer, real estate entrepreneur, at may-ari ng Kamuning Bakery na, “Noong kausap ni Dr. Henry ang organizer, may isa lang siyang request. Para hindi raw boring ang event na ‘yun, kasi nga  puro politiko. Nandoon si Duterte, Bongbong, mga senador. Pero sabi niya, may special request siya. Wala siyang pakialam sa politiko.

“Gusto niya, mag-perform si Jose Mari Chan. Maghahanap daw siya ng budget. So ako naman, para maka-save ng pera, tinawagan ko si Narciso Chan,” dagdag pa ni Wilson.

Sinabi naman ni Dr. Henry na matagal na nilang family friend si Josemari Chan, lalo ng kanyang brother na very close sila.

“So, noong sinabi namin siya na hindi macha-charge si Henry dito. Kaya libre siyang kumanta. Tapos na-mention pa ang pangalan namin. Kaya nagpapasalamat kami kay Joemari.”

Binabati rin nila ang pagkakatanghal kay Ricky bilang National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts. “FFCCCII congratulates the multi-awarded screenwriter, journalist, novelist, playwright and educator Ricky Lee for this year being conferred the honor as National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts. Apart from his numerous literary and journalistic works which have enriched Philippine culture, we also remember his late father Dy Hian Chin who was a scholar and had served as humble, respected and dedicated secretary of the Camarines Norte Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.”

Maging si Coco ay hinangaan nila sa naabot nito sa kanyang career at buhay. Nagpasalamat din sila sa aktor sa tulong na ibinigay nito sa mga magsasaka.

“FFCCCII cites actor Coco Martin of the TV series ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsiyano’ for his success in playing the role of crusading police Cardo Dalisay. Unknown to many, Coco Martin a few years ago had also expressed support for Philippine agriculture and Filipino rice farmers in cooperation with Department of Agriculture and SL Agritech, and we thank him.”

Sinabi pa ni Dr. Henry na galing sa hirap si Coco kaya may puso ito sa mga mahihirap. 

Ang pamilya rin ni Dr. Henry ang may-ari ng Sterling notebook, na endorsers sina Alden Richards, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, at Ivana Alawi.

Malapit si Ivana sa anak ni Dr. Henry at nasabi nitong tumutulong si Ivana sa charity projects ng Sterling, lalo sa pamimigay ng bigas sa mga nangangailangan.
