Iloilo Globe GoWiFi site na

KAUGNAY sa pagtutulak na pabilisin ang digital transformation ng Filipinas, sinelyohan ng Globe ang isa pang milestone partnership sa pamamagitan ng  GoWiFi services nito — sa pagkakataong ito ay sa local government ng Iloilo City.

Ang partnership ay pinormalisa sa pamamagitan ng paglagda sa isang memorandum of agreement (MOA) noong nakaraang 5 Disyembre sa Iloilo City Hall.

Ang seremonya ay pinangunahan nina Janis Racpan, Director ng WiFi Business Group; Paulette Villaflor, Industry Head, Visayas, Globe Business; at Carlo Ortiz, Cluster Head, VisMin of Globe Business, kasama sina Mayor Geronimo “Jerry” P. Trenas at MIS Head Francis Cruz ng Iloilo City.

“This partnership with Iloilo City is a huge step for us at GoWiFi in reaching and connecting more customers in areas outside Luzon,” pagbabahagi ni Janis Racpan, Globe Director for WiFI Business Group.

“By providing free, high-quality connectivity to constituents, we aim to be of significant help in the city’s continuous growth as an economic center in the Western Visayas region.”

Matapos ang MOA signing para sa formal partnership, ang GoWiFi services ay magiging available na sa key areas sa lungsod sa kaagahan ng 2020. Kabilang dito ang City Hall ng Iloilo City, Sunburst Park, at Freedom Grandstand.

Ang GoWiFi ay kasalukuyang available sa marami pang lugar tulad ng Iloilo International Airport; medical institutions gaya ng West Visayas State University Medical Center (WVSU Hospital), Medicus Medical Center, The Medical City Iloilo, at QualiMed Hospital Iloilo; schools STI College Iloilo at Iloilo Riverplains Integrated School; malls at retail stores The Shops @ Atria, Gaisano Capital Iloilo, SM City Iloilo,  Festive Walk Iloilo, Robinsons Place Iloilo, Robinsons Place Pavia, Robinsons Jaro, Festive Walk Parade at Marymart Center; at mga piling sangay ng Starbucks.

Globe PrepaidGoSAKTO90 users can enjoy 1 GB free GoWiFi access on top of 2 GB mobile data, 2 GB for GoWATCH and PLAY, 1 GCash voucher, and unlimited all-net texts valid for 7 days for only P90. On the other hand, TM EasySURF50 users automatically get 1 GB free GoWiFi access, 1 GB mobile data, 2 GB for EasyWATCH and PLAY, 300 MB for an app of their choice and unlimited all-net text all valid for 3 days,” ayon sa Globe.

Ang GoWiFi ang pinakamalaking WiFi service na available sa mahigit 2,500 sites sa buong bansa. Makaaasa ang mga user ng connection na may bilis na hanggang 100 Mbps, depende sa lokasyon.

Ang GoWiFi services ay available sa regular (free) GoWiFi at premium (paid) GoWiFi Auto, kapwa available sa lahat ng  users na may WiFi-enabled device kahit anong network service provider at maging ang international numbers.

Para makakonekta sa Free GoWiFi, buksan ang WiFi settings ng Wi-Fi-enabled device, kumonekta sa SSID “@FreeGoWiFi” o “@<site>_FreeGoWiFi”, magparehistro at hintayin ang SMS verification code, pagkatapos ay pumili ng WiFi offer, mag-confirm, at simulan ang surfing.
