The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) presents the CCP Pasinaya 2026 Literature Program, a free, two-day celebration of Philippine literature, storytelling, and performance happening on February 7–8, 2026, as part of the annual Pasinaya Festival, the country’s largest multi-arts celebration.
On February 7, the program opens with Palihan (Workshops) at the CCP–TIG Parking Area and Museo de Intramuros. These interactive sessions explore key areas of contemporary literary practice, including creative writing, poetry, editing in the age of A.I., translation, komiks, copyright, and performance. The workshops are led by respected writers, editors, educators, and cultural workers from Plaza Books, the Freelance Writers’ Guild of the Philippines (FWGP), Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika, at Anyo (LIRA), the Filipino Copyright Licensing Society (FILCOLS), the University of Asia & the Pacific (UA&P), Amagination, and Ampalaya Monologues, offering learning opportunities for both emerging and seasoned creatives.
The celebration continues on February 8 with Palabas/Pagtatanghal (Performances) presented across multiple venues, including CCP, Intramuros, GSIS, Museo Pambata, UP Manila, and Iloilo. Audiences can look forward to a diverse lineup of literary performances, ranging from musical storytelling and spoken word to poetry readings, monologues, and children’s narratives, brought to life by artists, theater groups, schools, and literary organizations from across the country.
Through its workshops and performances, the CCP Pasinaya 2026 Literature Program seeks to promote reading, creativity, and cultural engagement, while highlighting the richness, diversity, and continuing relevance of Philippine literary expression. All activities under the program are free and open to the public.
